CBS and WASME sign MoU

 

Chandigarh Business School (CBS) and World Association for Small Medium Enterprises (WASME) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on 10th January 2012.

 

With this MoU CBS and WASME have arrived at an understanding to work together with a focus on Academia – Small & Medium Enterprise (SME) linkage. Both parties emphasized the importance of SMEs in the growth and development of every economy. In the context of the significance of the sector, both the parties felt the need for a greater emphasis on SMEs in the academic curriculum as well as higher level research programmes. CBS and WASME would chalk out plans & strategies with a view to addressing this issue.

 

Specifically, CBS and WASME would plan research studies with a focus on SME competiveness, technology adoption, SMEs & the global market and other management related subjects pertinent to SMEs. In addition to this they would organize joint conferences, workshops and training programmes targeted at SMEs. WASME would attempt to provide international exposure to CBS students.

 

The MOU was signed by Dr SPS Bedi Executive Director CGC and Director CBS and Mr. Gyan Prakash Agarwal, Secretary General, WAME. Dr. P. Koshy, Sr. Economist, collected the MoU on behalf of WASME.

 

Mr. Sidhartha Mishra, Executive Secretary WASME, Mr. Ramesh Babu, Liaison officer WASME, Dr Hiesh Katyal Principal CBS, Dr. P.S. Vohra HOD MBA, Mr. Uttam Kumar attended the meeting and exchanged their views on areas of cooperation.
